Infinity Engineering Group currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to work closely with our established clients in the mid-Atlantic Region. This position is a remote-work position (e.g. you work from a home office). The ideal applicant would be located in the Philadelphia, PA region, Southern NJ, etc. The engineer in this position would be required to travel on a regular basis (average 1 day every 2 weeks of non-overnight travel, infrequent overnight travel) to visit client sites in the region. Current projects are located in NJ, PA, VA, DC, MD, DE.

The engineer would work closely with our established mechanical engineering team in Tampa, FL, Charlotte, NC and Syracuse, NY.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to a variety of projects throughout the United States. In this role you will be a key contributor to the design and coordination of our mechanical projects and will gain valuable experience in the development of building mechanical systems.

You will be working closely with licensed professional engineers in the design and production of construction documents for a variety of mechanical projects including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing drafting, field inspections, measurements, and calculations while working closely with licensed professional engineers. You will also be helping train and assist junior engineers and drafters.

Experience

Qualifiations:

  • 5+ years experience as a mechanical engineer (HVAC focused) including experience with the design, layout and sizing of building mechanical equipment
  • BSME from an accredited university (EIT Preferred)
  • Commissioning Experience Required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software (Autodesk Revit Preferred)
  • Carrier HAP experience preferred (or other similar software)
  • LEED AP BD+C preferred
  • Refrigeration experience/Fire Protection experience preferred
  • Access to a motor vehicle to access sites that may not be readily accessible by public transit (all mileage reimbursed)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
